Natatorium Lap Lane Policy

During open swim hours there are always one to two lap lanes open for patron use. Lap lanes are designed for swimmers capable of swimming freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly in a continuous manner. Lap lanes can also be used for the purpose of exercise in the water that may not include swimming. This could include water running and walking laps. During peak hours' pool patrons must share lap lanes and circle swim. Also during peak hours, the lap lanes are only open for patrons 16 years and older. Peak hours are as follows:

During the School Year:

  • Monday through Friday - 3:00 p.m. to close

  • Saturday and Sunday - 12:00 p.m. to close

During the Summer:

  • Monday through Friday - 1:00 p.m. to close

  • Saturday and Sunday - 12:00 p.m. to close

Patrons 16 years and younger wanting to utilize the lap lanes for their intended purposes (during peak hours) must speak to the aquatics supervisor and may be put in an exception log kept at the down stand. If the lap lanes rules are not followed by patrons, they will not be allowed in during peak hours.
